Louise received a Masters in Biblical Studies from Alliance Theological seminary in 2002, and a Masters in Counseling from Nyack College Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in 2004. Louise did her internship for counseling working in substance abuse counseling at St. Lukes Hospital in Newburgh. Louise formed At The Crossroads in 2004 to satisfy the growing need for Christian Counseling in the Hudson Valley. Louise is a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor of Play Therapy training. Louise enjoys incorporating play therapy into her counseling with CHILDREN, and often with adults. Louise holds additional certifications, including: Life Coaching, Critical Incident Stress Management (Basic Level), and Prepare/Enrich Premarital/Marital assessments, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Imago Relationship Therapy. Louise specializes in dealing with children and adults who are victims of trauma and abuse, children and adults struggling with anxiety and depression, and anyone overwhelmed by the stresses of life. She also enjoys helping couples improve their marriages and prevent divorce. Louise helps clients connect with their faith in God to as a critical element of healing.
Counseling is Louise's second career. In her first career she worked in the computer industry and holds a BS in Mathematics from Adelphi University, an MS in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Information Science from Syracuse University (1978). Her time in the business world helps her work with people dealing with work related stressors, and where work demands are creating significant stress in a person's marriage and impacting parenting.

Sarah received her BA in Psychology and Minor in Human Development & Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with High Distinction after completing an undergraduate honors thesis entitled The Relationship Between Adolescent Faith and Coping With Crisis. In 2005, Sarah began her journey as a counselor interning at Astor Children Services’ Outpatient Clinic in Beacon, NY, and subsequently graduated with Honors receiving her MA in Counseling from Nyack College Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (2006). Additional certifications include: Critical Incident Stress Management (Basic Level), and Prepare/Enrich Premarital/Marital assessments. Additional Training: National Tourette’s Association Comprehensive Behavior Intervention for Tics. Other professional experiences include: leading didactic groups on Anger Management at the Walter Hoving Home, teaching groups on Boundaries with Children at ATC, and mentoring interns.
Sarah enjoys incorporating art, music, sand play, storytelling and puppet work into her counseling and is currently working under supervision to become a Registered Play Therapist. In addition to her degrees and certifications, Sarah has done extensive personal research on the impact of nutrition and environmental toxins on mental health. Sarah specializes in work with children, adolescents and college aged individuals, with a depth of experience in strengthening the parent-child connection, grief, anxiety, relaxation training, cutting, recovery from abusive relationships and coping with transitions. Above all, Sarah strives to be a vessel through which God can pour his healing truth into broken lives.
